Terms Of Use

Last updated 2026. These terms govern your use of PageInvoice, a self-hosted invoicing and client-records desk.

1. Agreement

By creating an account, logging in, or using PageInvoice, you accept these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service. The person who installs PageInvoice (“Dev”) is the operator of this copy. PageInvoice is provided as software you run; it is not a bank, payment processor, or licensed accountant.

2. The service

PageInvoice lets you keep clients, products and services, invoices, expenses, reports, and a scoped assistant. You may send invoices by email when mail is configured. You are responsible for the accuracy of every number, tax rate, due date, and legal text you put on an invoice. PageInvoice does not file taxes or guarantee payment. Card payments go through Stripe; this install never stores a card.

3. Accounts

You must keep login details secret. Magic links expire and must not be shared. One session is kept per user. You are responsible for all activity under your account. Dev may disable accounts that abuse the install, attempt unauthorized access, or use PageInvoice for fraud, spam, or unlawful billing.

4. Your records

You own the client files, invoices, expenses, catalog, and profile data you enter. You grant this install a limited right to store, display, and process that data so the product can work: numbering invoices, sending mail you request, showing reports, and answering assistant questions about your own books. You must have a lawful basis to store personal data of your clients (name, email, phone, address, and notes). Do not upload data you are not allowed to keep.

5. Client and invoice use

Invoices you send are your documents. Recipients see what you chose to send. You must not use PageInvoice to issue false invoices, launder funds, harass payers, or hide income. Draft, sent, paid, and void statuses are tools for your ledger, not legal proof unless your local law says otherwise. Keep backups of records your tax authority requires.

6. Acceptable use

You will not probe, disrupt, or overload this install; steal other users’ data; share Dev tools or secrets; upload malware; or use the assistant to extract another account’s information. Guest visitors may see the assistant greeting only. Logged-in users may ask only about their own account. Dev may see all accounts on this install for operation and support.

7. Assistant

The assistant is optional. When it is on, your question and a scoped snapshot of your account (or, for Dev, the install) may be sent to the configured model provider so a reply can be written. It can be wrong. Do not treat it as tax, legal, or financial advice.

8. No warranty

PageInvoice is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not warrant uninterrupted access, error-free totals, successful email delivery, or fitness for a particular purpose. You use the software at your own risk.

9. Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, the operator and authors of PageInvoice are not liable for lost profits, lost data, missed payments, tax penalties, or indirect damages arising from use of the service. If a court finds liability, it is limited to the amount you paid for this copy in the prior twelve months, which may be zero.

10. Changes and end

Terms may change on this page. Continued use after an update is acceptance. You may stop using PageInvoice at any time and export or delete your records as the install allows. Dev may suspend the install for maintenance, abuse, or legal demand.

11. Contact

Questions about these terms: use Support or write [email protected]. These terms are the full agreement for use of this install, unless Dev has given you a separate written contract.
